*DUE Friday, December 1st at midnight. We will accept late submissions in person (deliver to Mrs. Merino-Ott in room 2305) until December 15th for a non-refundable fee of $5.00. It is not possible to accept any quotes after this date. You may edit your response if you change your mind until the due date - keep it classy Sage Creek.
Your quote is a maximum of 140 characters (this is so that your quote will fit into the allotted space). Please remember that this is a published book and proceed accordingly. You must use spaces between words and provide attribution (name the author) for any words that aren't yours. Failure to cite sources when necessary will lead to your quote being omitted.
Spell check your quote: yearbook will copy-paste your words as they are typed. Any typos are your responsibility.
If it is important to you that you have an original senior quote, use your own words. If you use someone else's words, another student may use that same quote. This is not a problem for yearbook and we will not inform you of duplicate quotes prior to publication.
No quotes will be verified ahead of time, please do not ask. Please pay special attention to the list of items we will not publish below. During the review process, any quotes that violate one or more of the rules will be rejected for publication with NO opportunity to re-submit.
We will not publish the following: • Anything that is not commonly understandable (including uncommon abbreviations or acronyms ). • Anything that is a reference found to be inappropriately sexual in nature • Anything that might be considered bullying. • References to illegal substances/activities. • Anything not in compliance with student rules. • Anything considered inappropriate for school.
If you are worried about your quote being rejected, speak with any other teacher, staff member or parent ahead of time, OR consider changing your quote.
The yearbook staff reserves the right to determine appropriate submissions.
Senior quotes are a privilege, and SCHS reserves the right to omit quotes.
